Originally from Ghana, Dora Owusu currently resides in the United States with her husband and two children. She is a proud alumna of Saint Francis College in Brooklyn, New York, where she majored in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work. 

Dora Owusu cherishes the history of Africa and the African Diaspora. Her love for these subjects served as inspiration for her lovely children’s stories. Her work is centered on educating young people about the importance of African history and culture.

In addition to her writing, Dora founded The Adoye Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to preserving native languages in Ghana for future generations. The foundation also offers school supplies and books to underprivileged children in the country.
